There’s nothing in this recipe from our garden but at this time of year its such a treat to have freshly baked scones……
450g Plain Flour
1tsp bread soda
Handful of raisins
- Preheat oven to 230°C.
- Sieve dry ingredients (except raisins), make a well in the centre. Pour most of the buttermilk into the well and mix.
- When the dough has come together mix in the raisins and turn out onto a floured surface and kneed for a few seconds.
- Cut into scones and put onto baking tin.
- Pop into the oven for 15mins, turn down to 200°C and bake for another 30mins.
