Frozen Herbs

We planted herbs last year and left them outside to fend for themselves over the winter and lo and behold they came back up again this year. So now we have lots and lots of herbs!

So what we’ve done is pick the excess herbs, bring them in and wash them thoroughly. Then chop and drop them directly into ice cube trays, top up each portion with a couple of teaspoons of water and pop in the freezer.

Then whenever you need the herbs then can be dropped straight from the tray into the pot, easy peasy!
